a distant friend had access to the yacht club so we were able to sneak in and watch the fireworks quietly from the dock.
the explosions felt like some sort of metaphor
but i wasnt sure of what

maybe that i deserved to be happy
because as soon as i quieted my mind, i certainly felt like it

and damn that doesn't happen too often
