this time baby, i'll be...bulletproof

hm. i observed two baby visits today. it was quite interesting because the first family moved here only 3 years ago from the philippines. the mother already has three boys and this is her fourth, a daughter. they lived in a small basement and there were language barriers and confusion but also incredible warmth. it was honestly the first time i've seen a baby so new, so small. i was surprised to see the hair on her back and the little tiny fingers that curled when you touched them.
after, we went to another family. a chinese family, that live in a very well kept and rich home. you could tell. there were yoga videos. the husband went to university. baby was equally as adorable, slightly jaundiced, and just absolutely stunning.
ugh.

i want her job.

beyond that, i have more home care visits tomorrow, so i'm quite excited. but i'm doing another paper on homelessness and then i'm doing another substance abuse lecture on wednesday. i'm pretty happy.

also, mike started talking to me again. i gave him some "healthy" sex tips, and we discussed briefly our lives and our thoughts. but mostly sex. anyway, its really tough because every time he talks to me i go on this thought splurge of imagination and fantasies about future real life conversations and making david jealous and making friends wonder and all that.
and its ridiculous.

because all we ever do is talk through a computer screen.
