Salons are open but some doctors still won't see their patients. It's all kind of hilarious that liquor stores have been open this entire time, but campgrounds and parks haven't- like the government truly knows what's healthy for us.
Anyhow, we are certainly lucky here in BC- that the outbreaks appear to have been contained, that there doesn't seem to be too much of a community spread, if at all. I just get somewhat annoyed that people seem to think staying home and avoiding the virus is the only answer or the long term solution to this whole thing, when the whole point of this was to slow down the spread of cases so our health care system had time to keep up. I'm tired of seeing businesses suffer. I'm tired of seeing people psychologically suffer. I'm tired of the hypocrisy and the madness around staythefuckhome unless you're a fast food worker or a food delivery guy then actually its okay, because we need to stay home. Most people hoping for this to continue are people who are able to work from home. I'm stupidly lucky that's the case for me, even as a mental health nurse.

Anyhow, rant of the day.

T is leaving for a month to the island to take his commercial diving certification. Part of me is a little excited for this because I get to be fake single for the time being. Not in a sloppy slutty way. I just mean being able to do whatever I want, watch whatever I want, be as lazy or active as I want, and have the house all to myself. I love that it gives me time to miss the fuck out of him and I love love space and alone time. So there it is.
