weekend

mdma for the second time, except this time it worked. i was floating, loose, everything wikipedia said it would do to me..it was amazing. i know i know!! shit's bad for you brain cells, but truly..no one really knows until they try it..how alive you feel, how beautiful everyone really is. this was the night before i was to leave for mt.washington for the big race too. aly, helling, and I went to some dingy after-hours club, we got in for free, and danced till around 430 am. its a bit amazing how you discover how many people are on the same thing once you're one it. also visited james/man of my dreams, but he was so grossly wasted i had no time for that. he kissed my neck though..and that shit's amazing under the influence.

the weekend was nice. i wish i was more ..outgoing, more into the people i was with, i found myself getting a little annoyed with everyone/myself (side effect?) but it was still a beautiful time. jacuzzi, guessters, amazing meals :)

the canoe race was something else. holy shit. this was pretty much my first time EVER canoeing, and we fell into the water almost instantly. our steering was pretty shitty too so we were going in zig zags while several canoeists raced past us..haha. the currents were pretty scary too..oh man. i went through so many emotions out there, i thought i was going to give up. my arms were aching, even as racers cheered us on as they passed us i still felt like i was failing my team. jen was wonderful though, telling me i was doing awesome and to keep paddling, it was a real struggle. but at one point, i looked to my right, saw the mountains, our movement, our togetherness, and we shared a laugh about our fail in the beginning. we were going to do this. it was going to be amazing when we finish. when we finally made it to the finish line, i could see our team members waving and clapping and shouting our names, and "NURSING!!!" and it made it all worth it.

i even got to run to the finish line and ring the bell :)

it was a natural, healthy high. and it was just as nice :)

came home, and got to the polls 5 minutes before closing time!

so, all in all.

it was quite the weekend.
