warpednormal's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - I had another sort-of date with julian last night. he technically invited himself to this poetry slam that me and a couple of girls planned to go to after the exam. it was absolutely marvelous. you know, how i love def jam poetry? well, it was exactly like that. there was a group of black men reciting poetry about the montreal massacre and about respecting women and i got goosebumps. it was just, i don't know, how to describe it. but i'm so glad i found this form of art and that i can join these wonderful people in utter appreciation. julian was real cool and funny. he makes me laugh, and sometimes i wonder if i'm good enough because i'm not as entertaining or whatever. but i can tell he likes me. the way he holds my hand tighter when the poem talks about women and beauty. the way he caresses my back and buys me beer. the way he tries so hard to impress my friends. the way he just...is. i'm pretty happy. i mean, i don't see a marriage or anything. but i do see some happiness. and that's all i can ask for right now. :) also, my summer begins NOW!!!! 10:52 a.m. - 2010-07-20 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
